Sublo Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Sublo (“we,” “our,” “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Sublo mobile application (“App”) and related services. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Sublo.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and enrolled at a college/university with a valid school email address to register. By signing up, you represent that all information provided is truthful and accurate.

2. User Accounts

Users must register with a valid college email for verification. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Listings and Content

Sellers are responsible for the accuracy and legality of their sublease listings, including rent details, photos, building guidelines (pet rules, quiet hours, etc.), and dates. Users acknowledge that they must comply with their landlord’s, property manager’s, or building’s rules before posting any listing. Sublo does not verify or guarantee the accuracy, availability, or legality of any listing.

4. User Responsibilities

By using Sublo, you agree that you will: Only post sublease listings you have the legal right to offer. Not misrepresent, falsify, or omit material details about a sublease. Not engage in harassment, discrimination, fraud, or illegal activities. Communicate respectfully with other users. Follow all applicable laws, university rules, lease agreements, and building regulations.

5. Information We Collect

We may collect: Account information (name, email, university affiliation, profile details); Listing details (rental information, photos, location, dates, and preferences); Usage data (app interactions, preferences, and notifications); Contact information (if voluntarily provided for buyer/seller communication). 6. Disclaimer of Liability

Sublo acts only as a platform to connect buyers and sellers of subleases. We are not a party to any agreements, negotiations, payments, or disputes between users. Sublo is not liable for any damages, losses, fraud, misrepresentations, or violations of lease agreements or building policies. Users agree not to hold Sublo responsible for outcomes arising from listings, communication, or transactions.

7. Prohibited Activities

You may not use the App to: Violate housing/building/landlord rules. Upload false, misleading, or illegal content. Collect personal data from other users without consent. Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the platform. Promote competing services.

8. Safety & Conduct

Sublo encourages users to conduct all communication and transactions safely. Sublo does not conduct background checks, endorse, or guarantee any user. Users are solely responsible for due diligence when entering into sublease arrangements.

9. Intellectual Property

Sublo owns all rights to the App’s design, UI, and features. Users retain rights to their own content but grant Sublo a limited license to display listings and profile information within the App.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Users may delete their account at any time.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
